School Holidays have arrived!

For the young horsey fanatics, we offer an entertaining and stimulating Pony camp with a difference. The Pony camps are for experienced children only, so they must be able to walk, trot and canter. Each morning starts off with grooming and feeding of the ponies. Children learn about actually owning a pony and the responsibilities that go with that pleasure. We cover a bit of horse behavior, how to tell if the pony is well or in ill health and what to look out for. Breakfast is served after the ponies have been taken care of and then it is off to explore the indigenous forests in the area. Riding instruction is given on the fun rides. After the ride, children and ponies can cool off in the dams and play with the ponies.

After lunch, fun lessons in stunt riding are offered. These lessons teach valuable skills and balancing that can be also applied to the various riding disciplines your child takes part in, as well as being loads of fun. Before the evening settles in, we explore some horsey knowledge with pony quizzes and the time to groom and feed the horses again. Lessons are also given in jumping and general riding lessons. To end off the camp, a fun gymkana is held and each child gets a CD of their Pony camp to show off to mom and dad.

The children stay in tented accommodation and are supervised at all times. They all have so much fun, none want the camp to end and go back home!!!
